Global markets take notice of evolution's
fitting value proposition
[January 2006] - Companies looking for corporate business management solutions
are turning to Evolution and no less so in Africa. This market has a unique
requirement for high-end Business Management functionality, but without the
complexity or cost. And, Evolution is quickly becoming a product of choice, with
features and functionality that continue to attract global interest. Companies
such as Caltex Texaco and Proctor & Gamble are just some examples of companies
leading the way with corporate interests growing around the world and,
especially, in Africa. While some overweight financial applications try to push
down into the mid-tier level across Africa, Evolution is addressing the needs of
developing markets with a solution that fits the requirement for high demand and
less complexity.
In fact, multi-site corporate implementations are driving sales of Evolution,
which have grown dramatically in the region over the past year. Global companies
in particular are realising that they are able to get all the functionality they
require, and more, for less than they might have expected to pay. At the same
time, these organisations are able to address the growing need in Africa to
provide everything their business requires while still ensuring that ease of use
comes first in their daily operations.
Both Caltex Texaco and Proctor & Gamble have plans to continue their roll-out of
Evolution across additional branch sites in Africa, with projects fully
underway. Proctor & Gamble Nigeria is currently embarking on the implementation
of Evolution at another site after having successfully undertaken their pilot
project earlier this quarter. Caltex is also preparing for their next
implementation project, with previous sites experiencing solid success.
Follow-up articles on further developments at these sites will also be
publicised.
Evolution’s modular design and ease-of-customisation around an organisations
specialised needs is also generating much interest. And, with the addition of
the Business Intelligence Centre, Evolution customers have been given the
freedom for greater interaction between branch offices, with instant reporting,
consolidated reporting, branch to head office reporting and more. This added
control over operations is also helping businesses better manage all areas of
their operations, such as head count, stock and inventory movement. By tracking
and managing incidents, managers are also more in touch with the business. This
leads to greater business insights that can reduce shrinkage as well as
miscalculations in production, stores and distribution, for example.
Daily enquires from regions around the world are pointing to the fact that
corporate customers are searching for solutions that are robust, business
management focused, easy to use and offer full feature sets. Key to this
equation, however, is that implementation of the solution does not break the
bank. Enquires from around the world, including Europe, India, Sri Lanka, Korea,
Australia and New Zealand, are highlighting the fact that Evolution is fast
gaining ground, with word of mouth commendation generating significant interest
in the product.
Sage Pastel International has also put a consultancy team in place, which is
actively engaging with a number of Business Partners globally to assist them
with implementations and project initiation. This has proven extremely
successful and, to date, Sage Pastel International has successfully implemented
Evolution at more than 300 sites through their international channel and the
efforts of the International team.
