Sage releases Line 50 version 12
[August 2005] - August 2005 saw the release of Sage Line 50 version12, the
latest version of the UK's best-selling business management software.
The results are dramatic - Line 50 v12 was based on user feedback.
A new user interface has been introduced, with a modern look and feel, but the
work areas that are familiar remain the same.

Process Map View – so you always know what to do, and how to complete the next
task. Simply click on the next step in the Process Map.
Dashboard View - instantly view key areas of your performance helping to spot

List View - improved with customisable smart columns and new, easier navigation.
Project Costing - IMPROVED*
Set and manage budgets, control costs, allocate stock and assign purchases
directly to projects.
Quotation Handling
Analyse and report on the number of orders you win and lose, how long it takes
to turn a prospect into a customer, and monitor the top performers in your sales
team.
Discounting - IMPROVED
Sage Line 50 has always had an effective discounting feature but with version 12
you can see and change discounts as you produce invoices and orders.
Foreign Trading - IMPROVED**
An improved revaluation wizard and new ‘revaluations’ tab on each foreign
currency bank record helps you keep track of the true value of your foreign
currency assets over time.
Bank Reconciliation - IMPROVED
Save bank reconciliations part-way through and see at a glance the transactions
already matched and those remaining. Plus, keep a PDF of each reconciliation for
your reference.
Support for UK Charities
Running and reporting on charity’s operations is now more efficient and easier.
Run and report on Fund Management, Charity Specific Financial Reports and Line
50 has a specific chart of accounts.
Excel Integrated Reporting - IMPROVED
Take any Sage Line 50 report and use it in Excel – even bespoke reports you’ve
designed yourself.

Execute trade counter sales quickly and easily. You can also choose which
documents you print following a sale.
Stock Allocations*
Allocate stock to sales orders, projects or set aside for a specific purpose.
Bill of Materials*
Easily set up records of the basic kit of parts. Record the use of stock items
needed, check if you have sufficient stock levels and view or print details of
your assembled items.
